1. Work is being done to raise canal banks, render paved areas impermeable to upward filtration of water from the subsoil, and prevent sewer regurgitation in conditions of acqua alta.

नहरों के किनारों की ऊँचाई बढ़ाने, पक्की ज़मीन को वाटर-प्रूफ बनाने जिससे आक्वा आल्टा के समय पानी ज़मीन से ऊपर न आए और उस दौरान गंदा पानी वापस घरों में न जाए, इन सब पर काम शुरू किया गया है।
